2026 TREE TOUR SCHEDULE (GUIDED)
2026 Guided Tree Tours will be conducted in all four seasons at Westmoor Park.
Tours are conducted by Tree Naturalist Bill Gleason (known as "Tree Man" from a 2024 West Hartford Life article). Email Bill.
Each tour is different - we explore different sections of the Arboretum and highlight specific, seasonal tree activity.

We explore the central portion of the Level II Arboretum which contains more tan 130 species of trees and woody plants. The Arboretum also contains 11 CT NOTABLE TREES. Tree naturalist Bill Gleason.

Weather permiting, we venture a bit farther into Westmoor Forest in search of Bitternut and Pignut Hickory, the Tulip Tree (tallest tree on the East Coast) and visit many other species along the way. Tree naturalist Bill Gleason.

SUMMER TOUR III (522710C)
This tour heads for the shady sections of the Arboretum and we explore The Grove (Zelcova, Sourwood, Sycamore, and London Planetrees). Plus the historic Black Birch and Persimmon Grove. Tree naturalist Bill Gleason.

WHERE TO MEET, WEATHER
We conduct the tours regardless of the weather EXCEPT in the case of drenching rain. The rain date for each tour is the next day (Sunday) at the same time. If the tour takes place on Sunday OR entire weekend is rained out - please re-register for the next available tour.
Meet at "THE WAGON" by the central parking area of Westmoor Park.
